Three (3) Open Seats for Cowlitz Tribal Foundation – Statewide Fund Board

Any Cowlitz Tribal Member 18 or older may apply.

The Cowlitz Indian Tribe is seeking dedicated individuals to fill three (3) open seats on our Statewide Fund Board, responsible for administering charitable funding from tribal gaming revenues. This board plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with our gaming compact, which requires us to give back to nonprofit organizations across Washington State. If you are passionate about giving back and want to make a meaningful difference, we invite you to apply and join us in this important work, which will directly support charitable initiatives and strengthen communities throughout Washington.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve funding allocations to Washington State nonprofits.
  • Ensure compliance with tribal gaming compact requirements.
  • Collaborate with fellow board members to uphold transparency and accountability.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Committed to community service and tribal values.
  • Able to attend meetings regularly and contribute to decision-making.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit organizations or grant administration is a plus (but not required).

Time Commitment: Generally, 1 virtual meeting per month (~2 hours) during funding season and the ability to meet as needed for urgent meetings. During off season, may meet as infrequently as every other month.

Stipend Amount: This is 100% unpaid volunteer position with no stipend.
