Attention all Cowlitz! We have 3, 3-year term seat open on our weavers committee. We ask that you are experienced in weaving cultural significant materials. Are able to teach weaving or willing to work towards that goal. We currently meet the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. and the meetings go for 2-2.5 hours. $100 stipends for each monthly meeting.
We also support our members with different classes throughout the year. On average there will be 1-2 events per month. Some of those events require preparing materials before the event. Stipends are available for teaching and prep work. Also preferred if you have the physical ability to walk through the woods to harvest materials for weaving.
We will be conducting in person interviews of the applicants and voting at Dupont on December 14th to be combined with our monthly meeting and 2026 calendar workshop.
