Cowlitz Indian Tribe Honors the Spirit of all Cowlitz People at the 19th Annual Cowlitz Powwow, Saturday October 20, 2018.
For the nineteenth consecutive year, The Cowlitz Indian Tribe will be Honoring the Spirit of All Cowlitz People at the annual Pow Wow on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Clark County Event Center, 17402 NE Delfel Rd, Ridgefield, Washington.
The Powwow is a full-day event from noon until 10 pm, and admission is free and grand entries are at 1 pm and 7 pm. There will be drumming, dancing, storytelling, and vendors selling crafts throughout the day and evening. A salmon dinner will be served at 5 pm. Dinner is free but donations are accepted and appreciated. Raffles with prizes such as a Pendleton Blanket and other items will be ongoing throughout the event.
Once again, Veterans of all branches of the military will be honored during Grand Entry. Dance competitions from children through adults will be held with cash prizes awarded.
Driving directions: Take I-5 exit 9. Clark County Event Center will be on the southwest side of the interchange. Cowlitz Tribe Department of Transportation will be providing transport services durning the event. Park and Ride style service is available at no cost but donations will be greatly appreciated. Choose your perferred pick-up location and time including desired return time and call Cowlitz Tribal Transit Service at 360-232-8585 to reserve your ride.
